All Glory to Father, Son and the Spirit |Worship #9|

"All Glory"

Matt Redman ft. Kierra Sheard

We enter Your gates with thanksgiving

And with thanksgiving, we enter Your gates

We pour out Your praise in Your presence

And in Your presence, we pour out Your praise

And the song we sing, we sing forevermore

All glory to the Father

All glory to the Son

All glory to the Spirit

The Spirit of our God

As it was in the beginning

And will be in the end

All glory to Your everlasting name

This is the sound of the forgiven

A song of freedom

O Jesus, on and on Your name resounds

We lift up a shout for You are risen

And now we are risen

Come on and pour His praises out

All glory to the Father

All glory to the Son

All glory to the Spirit

The Spirit of our God

As it was in the beginning

And will be in the end

All glory to Your everlasting name

And the song we sing, we sing forevermore

And the song we sing, we sing for You alone

Come on and pour His praises out

Come on and sing His praises now

All glory to the Father

All glory to the Son

All glory to the Spirit

The Spirit of our God

As it was in the beginning

And will be in the end

All glory to Your everlasting name

Your glory's shining all around

And as we pour Your praises out

Your glory's shining all around

To God be all the Glory

Dear Lord Jesus,

As I rode my bicycle today, a thought crossed my mind. I have always wondered what Christ’s glory meant or what this verse signified:

Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Matthew 6:10 ☀️👑🌍

I thought of Tony Reike and that anonymous man from Nigeria. Two people I have never met yet played a pivotal role in my life and in this epiphany. Reike is the interviewer for John Piper’s podcast “DesiringGod”. It is impressive on how he interviews and amplifies Piper’s conveyance towards Christ. A small yet significant role. Similarly, I once read off this Nigerian missionary's account 25 years ago in which they wrote what it means to be a “Disciple of Christ”. They were in a position to deny Christ or to lose his life and yet they valued Christ more than worth it.

In that moment I just thought... wow. Is this what’s meant by Christ’s Kingdom to come?

It’s funny like that. I don’t know these people personally or have talked to them. Yet through their life and their zeal for the Lord, even their seemingly insignificant role had such a profound effect on me. Hmm.. Maybe that’s what's meant by God’s Kingdom.. it isn’t some large mansion, army, or even some vast wealth. Maybe it’s just regular people like you and me. Singing in unison; amplifying God’s great grace and love in our ordinary yet extraordinary lives. Across all time and space...

Suddenly a song played in the background: “All Glory” by Matt Redman. Coalescing all these thoughts together into one simple credo and upheaval of praise: “All glory to the Father, All glory to the Son, All glory to the Spirit. The spirit of our God. As it was in the beginning, and will be in the end. All glory to Your everlasting name..."

Dear Jesus, thank You. Your kingdom is here. In the midst of us. To see a glimpse off it shatters my heart in gratitude. Thank You for giving me the opportunity to be apart off it. Soli Deo Gloria. In Jesus’s name we pray. Amen.

Oh Lord, thank You. I learn recently of retributive reward (to give back a payment/reward) when we get to heaven. Yet is that really it? Lord, to be honest, that sounds good. But I am so so content with what I have now. I don't do it for the reward. But I do it because I want to say thank You. Thank You for being my God. For being my awesome Father. My amazing amazing Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who has gone through lengths in saving my soul. To have Christ in my life is my greatest reward... and Lord, I praise You.. For You are good. For You are glorious. For this intricately familial relationship we have that rests my soul. Thank You Father for this moment. This transcendent moment. To which my heart feels at ease in the midst of this stormy life.... Hallelujah, praise be Your name...!

Lord, thank You for all these years. How time flies in a blink of an eye. It truly is all vanity and chasing after wind. And yet there are these kairos moments Your hand have given to me, and in that I thank You...

Thank You O Lord for these small moments where I may enter Your holy temple and bow before my King. Thank You for Your great love and presence. The warmest of embrace; enveloping my aching soul. Lord, I pray this prayer of blessing. That Your glory may be revealed more and more day by day.

That I may see and cower in adoration for all You are doing. And ultimately I pray for others to see You even more. Please have mercy on this world O Lord, just as You have given me mercy. Please forgive them as my Lord Jesus Christ have forgiven me. Yet I also pray for Your glory and reputation as well O Lord. Please bring justice to this wretched world. That Your righteousness and holiness shines in the midst of darkness. That all may know that You are God and all the earth will exult You forevermore...

Alas, thank You for being my God and me as one of Your many people. I pray and know by faith that Your kingdom come will be glorious. I can't wait to meet You O Lord. And I pray all this, in Jesus Christ our risen Lord and Savior. Amen.
