about pesanpesan.co—just shine |Blog #3|

Updated: Jun 7, 2021

So... today's blog post is about updates and the official about page of pesanpesan.co.

**Update: Another week, another moment in passing. Here I am at night writing this blog post. The worship song playing in the background. O Lord, thank You! Life and people are so uncertain, heck. Even I can be bipolar sometimes. Yet in death and in life, in everything You are faithful despite off me being so despicable. And I know that one thing remains which is Your everlasting love!... **

about pesanpesan.co

To start, we return all glory back to You Jesus! Praise the Lord in the highest. Thank You Jesus... for Your grace in our lives to even write this post, making this website, running away avoiding to do this, haha.. even to having our readers see this. As Isaiah once said: That they may see and know, may consider and understand together, that the hand of the Lord has done this, the Holy One of Israel has created it. Isaiah 41:20.

It all started with a simple beginning here.. "pesanpesan" literally means "message, message".

So why the idea off a message? Because at the end off the day, it's the simple messages that transforms our lives. We don't remember the one-hour advices. Yet we remember but the simple words—subconsciously embedded. Bringing forth hope in times off need. Encapsulated in our hearts. Just as Jesus Christ is the Word incarnated —He has brought forth a radiating light that shines in the darkness. Join us in our journey to be like Christ day after day. As we cling on to the hope that all may again see the majesty off our Lord! As John the Baptist would say, He must increase, but i must decrease...

Our inspiration comes from Jesus who was doubted by many to not being 'qualified'. At this time Jesus called on Philip and Nathanael to be His disciples:

Nathanael said to him, “Can anything good come out of Nazareth?” Philip said to him, “Come and see.” John 1:46 😒

Jesus was seen as a nobody. He had a common family without the right connection. Nor did He have the right education. He even came from the rural and bad reputation city off Nazareth. Yet Jesus stayed faithful in His course. Ignoring what others would say, but kept a humble and compassionate heart through it all... He knew that His Kingdom would start seemingly small:

He put another parable before them, saying, “The kingdom of heaven is like a grain of mustard seed that a man took and sowed in his field. It is the smallest of all seeds, but when it has grown it is larger than all the garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and make nests in its branches.” Matthew 13:31-32 🌱

The mustard seed is one off the smallest seeds, it takes so much time to grow. Why? Because it sets its roots deep, it creates a strong foundation. Just like Christianity started with Jesus first. Then the twelve disciples, then more and more believers, Jesus is teaching us to be hopeful that however small our roles, it's enough. Because our roles in life as in pesanpesan.co is not to make our efforts/ministry/work to grow, but our roles is too plant and water:

So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God gives who gives the growth. 1 Corinthians 3:7 🌲

When the small seeds of our labor, of our love, or off anything to come to fruit and labor is not up to us. Our role is to do our best, and wait for His time, His blessing, His presence all throughout. It's only God who gives the growth....

Have you ever heard about lighthouses? Although they play a small role, they are integral in the safety off the boats coming ashore. Dwight L. Moody once said:

What struck me the most in reading this is how much our broken world needs 'lighthouses'. I see many "Christians" going through the wrong doctrine, getting hurt and disappointed with God. I finally understood why Jesus said the harvest is plenty but the laborers few. Sometimes we haven't acted enough, evangelized and loved others more. Hmm. Why is that? Partly because we don't get return to the source. We accept all sorts off theology and humanistic relativist nonsense. We don't repent. We ultimately don't surrender to Christ and trust in Him, we don't read the Bible constantly. We need to return. To re-form, and change before it's too late.

As Christ has saved us, we are His representatives. We owe it to Him to be a light in the midst of darkness. To just shine. However small that light is. In our communities, in our family, friends. To radiate Christ and His light into our lives. We hope that in our journey of pesanpesan.co, we can do that together with God's help. To not only say God's Word. To not only act or do ministry. But to be Faithful. Through good and tough times. Despite anyone seeing us. To live a Holy life in the midst off our God... offering our bodies as a living-sacrifice, our bodies as a temple of the Holy Spirit:

in holiness and righteousness before him all our days. Luke 1:75

Reflection

Dear Lord, thank You for the start of pesanpesan.co. So...In Your mercy, please use pesanpesan.co. To return all the glory as Isaiah says— that the hand of the Lord has done this. To be a small grain of mustard seed apart off God's awesome Kingdom too come. To encompass in it's role however small that is—to just shine.

“You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people's feet.
“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. Matthew 5:13-16 🧂💡🌍

Lord, please help us to utilize the resources You have given to us as Your stewards. To be the salt and light of the earth. We don't have much time left. Please help us be the saltiest of our salt life can be. Please help us be a light that radiates. Wherever we are, enable us to glorify You in our imperfect messed up nobody life... I am only one, but I am one. I cannot do everything, but I can do something. And that which I can do, by the grace of God, I will do.

Thank You Jesus...Soli Deo Gloria!~ In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

Thought Of The Day

A lot of us might be thinking today, what have we to offer? What can we do? We don’t have money, nor the experience to start. I used to think like that and I sometimes still do. Yes we are small. But our Lord is BIGGER than anything. Trust in the Lord. Because He can use people like you and me from ‘nothing’ and into something; all for His glory. Be faithful in a very little. We have everything we need in Him.
